पिनासको कथा

अनिरुद्र पाडे भनि नाम भएका, थिए कोही पाटन नगरमा बसेका, अनिरुद्रजीका तेसै गाउँनेरै, बसेका रहेछन् पनि सर्प धेरै । अनेकौ त्यहाँ सर्पका फुल थिए, अनिरुद्रका वस्तुले कुल्चिदिए, बिलाप गर्न लागे सबै सर्प जाति, उठ्यो रीस तीनको अनिरुद्र माथि । दिउँ बिष गोरस बिषे मर्छ खाइ, भनी सर्पले मत गरेछन् रिसाई, गए सर्पहरु पुगे गोठ छ जहाँ, बिष छाडी दिए दही ठेकी माहाँ । सबै प्राणी गोरस पिई मर्न लागे, दही चिउरा ली अनिरुद्र भागे, पुगे बानगङ्गा अती दुख्ख पाई, तयार हुन लागे नुहाउनलाई । तेही क्यामुनका रुखैका खुटिमा, दही ठेकी झुन्ड्याइ गए ति नदिम, अनिरुद्रजीका पछी साँप गएछन् , विषै छोड्नलाई दहिमा पसेछन् । जहाँना मारी आयौं दहिका बिषैले अनिरुद्र पाँडे पानी म र्छ एले, कुरा यी दहिमा गरे साँपहरुले, दही चोर्न जाँदा त चन्डाल जसुले । सुनी सब नछोई अनिरुद्र जहाँ, सरासर वहाँ गै सुनाएछ तहाँ, जसुले कहेको कुरा मानी आए, दही ठेकी आगो फुकी खुबा तताए । भने साँपहरुले अनिरुद्र छेउ, कसुर माफ राखी शरणा आज लेउ, अनिरुद्र भन्छन् म वाचा बँधाइ, इनै साक्षी राखेर छोड्छु तँलाई । यसै गर्न लागिस् भने फेरी मेरो, उछितो गराई दिनेछु म तेरो, खबर्दार साक्षी पिनासको कथाको, जसु बाणगङ्गा अनिरुद्र आगो । रुखै क्यामुनाको छ साक्षी गुहाई, पिनासको जरो समेत भयो दुर्दुहाई, ति नै फेर चुट्की बजाएर गन्नु, दुहोलो दुहोलो दुहोलो त भन्नु ।

Janai Purnima Mantra in Nepali

New holy thread ‘janai’ is worn by Hindu males on the occassion of Janai Purnima.

जनैपूर्णिमामा नयाँ जनै धारण गर्ने मन्त्र: 

यज्ञोपवीतं परमं पवित्रं प्रजापतेर्यत्‌सहजं पुरस्तात् । 
आयुष्यमग्रयं प्रतिमुञ्चशुभ्रं यज्ञोपवीतं वलमस्तुतेज:।।

Nine Planet Remedies

Here are simple and easy to perform remedies for some of the most commonly known planetary doshas.
Remedies for the nine Planets:
1. Aditya (Sun): People whose horoscope indicates any dosham (defect) related to the planet sun can benefit immensely by performing the following pariharams:
a. Offer a puja at Suryanar Temple, Kumbhakonam (Navagraha Sthalam, TN) on every Sunday
b. Chant Aditya Hridaya Stotram everyday or at least on Sundays. Or request a priest to perform Aditya Hridaya parayanam (according to your capacity – 9 times, 12 times, 51 times, 108 times etc.):
c. Donate Wheat on a Sunday to the poor.

2. Chandra (Moon): The Moon is the source of the mind, according to vedic astrology. Those who suffer from a weak or debilitated moon in the horoscope and a weak mind should perform the following remedies:
a. Offer a puja at Kailasanathar Temple, Thingalur (Chandra Navagraha Sthalam, TN)
b. Chant Lalita Sahasrnama Stotram on every Full Moon day.Offer puja to the Goddess considering her to be the presiding deity for the moon:

8. Rahu: For Rahu related problems and during the dasa or antardasa of Rahu:
a. Offer worship at Rahu temples or where Kalasarpa dosha nivarana puja is done like Srikalahasti, Trayambakeswar, Thirunageswaram etc.
b. Recite the first chapter of Durga Saptashati.
c. Donate Coconut on Saturdays.

9. Ketu: For Ketu related problems and during the dasa or antardasa of Ketu:
a. Offer worship at Ganesha temples on Thursdays:

Lord Ganesha Mantra and Prayer

Lord Ganesha , son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, is worshiped in Hindu Religion as the god of beginnings, knowledge, wisdom, intellect and remover of obstacles. त्यसैगरी दसैं बिदाअर्न्तगत असोज १९ गते घटस्थापना परेको छ। असोज २५ गते फूलपातीदेखि ३० गते द्वादशीसम्म सरकारले बिदा दिएको छ। पात्रोअनुसार असोज २७ गते आइतबार विजयादशमी परेको छ। कोजाग्रत पूर्णिमा कात्तिक १ गते पनि बिदा छ। 
तिहारमा लक्ष्मीपजा, कात्तिक १७ गते, १८ गते गोवर्द्धन पूजा र १९ गते भाइटीका गरी तीन दिन बिदा दिने निर्णय भएको छ। त्यसैगरी रामनवमी वैशाख ६ गते, बुद्धजयन्ती जेठ ११ र श्रीकृष्णअष्टमी भदौ १२ गते बिदा दिने निर्णय भएको छ। गृह मन्त्रालयबाट प्रकाशित सूचनाअनुसार विदेशस्थित नेपाली नियोगले सम्बन्धित मुलुकका सार्वजनिक बिदालाई समेत ध्यान दिई बढीमा १८ दिनसम्म सार्वजनिक बिदा आफैले व्यवस्थापन र समायोजन गर्नसक्ने भनिएको छ।

Sankashti Chaturti

The fourth day after new moon and fourth day after full moon in the Hindu calendar is observed as Chaturthi and is dedicated to Lord Ganesha. Most people must be aware of only the Ganesh Chaturti festival that takes place in the month of Bhadrapada (August-September). But there are two Chaturthis in a month – Sankashti and Vinayaki – and staunch Ganesha devotees observe a fast on the Chaturthi after full moon. 

The monthly Chaturti day which falls after full moon in which a fast (fasting) is observed is known as Sankashti Chaturthi. The fast ends on the day after moonrise. Special Ganesh pujas are done in the evening.

The monthly Chaturthi after Amavasi or new moon is known as Vinayaki Chaturthi.

When Sankashti Chaturthi falls on Tuesday, it is known as Angaraki Chatutrhi and it is considered highly auspicious. The benefits of Chaturthi fasting include material progress, happiness and fulfillment of desires. The importance of Chaturthi vrat was explained by Lord Krishna to Yudhishtira, the eldest of the Pandavas. It is also mentioned in the Narasimha Purana and Bhavishaya Purana.

When the Sankashti Chaturti falls on the Tuesday it is known as Angarak Sankashti and is considered highly auspicious.
